On the face of the eleven-inch, leather-wrapped Logitech G27 wheel, you can see three stainless-steel spokes, six buttons and a row of LED lights, which light up when the time comes for you to shift a gear. In order to function properly, the LED shift indicator has to receive accurate RPM information from the very game that's being played. Behind the wheel itself, you can see two big metal paddle shifters. What you can't see, however, is the exceptionally powerful dual-motor force feedback mechanism on the inside. You can't hear it either, thanks to its helical gears, which reduce the noise to the absolute minimum.

The Logitech G27 steering wheel comes with a six-speed manual shifter, which features eight more buttons and an 8-way D-pad, and with a pedal set, which includes adjustable clutch, gas and brake pedals offering different levels of resistance.

The pedals are positioned in such a way as to make heel-and-toeing easier.

The wheel's base is made of high-quality rigid plastic. The G27's mounting mechanism allows you to mount the wheel onto pretty much any surface. However, you need to equip yourself with an adjustable gaming seat offering back and shoulder support in order to reach a perfectly comfortable driving posture - something, which would be impossible with your average sofa or couch.

One such seat is OpenWheeler+. The best part is that it features a special gear shifter mount, which can ideally accommodate the G27's external gearshift unit.
